A Model for Systematic Performance Feedback in a Self-Managed Work Environment: Creating Powerful Continuous Peer Feedback Loops
Self-managed work environments present a challenge for delivery of effective performance feedback. In a truly self-managed organization, there are no designated managers or supervisors, meaning that any performance feedback must originate with one’s peers. This works well when peers are willing and able to deliver effective (specific, timely, accurate) feedback to initiate course corrections. It does not work so well when peers lack skill or willingness to share feedback.
